Colour, texture and mood inspiration from a road trip to Nova Scotia a few years ago. Most of these photos were taken near Lunenburg, Rose Bay, I believe. There is a darling group of cottages there, Salty Rose, where I stayed for a few nights. Highly recommended.
“My soul is full of longing
for the secret of the sea,
and the heart of the great ocean
sends a thrilling pulse through me.”
― Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
“The sea, the sea, the sea.
It rolled and rolled and called to me.
Come in, it said, come in.”
― Sharon Creech, The Wanderer
“I like a good story and I also like staring at the sea —
do I have to choose between the two?”
― David Byrne, How Music Works
“The heart of man is very much like the sea, it has its storms,
it has its tides and in its depths it has its pearls too.”
― Vincent van Gogh, The Letters of Vincent van Gogh
